Covenant Health Centre

The Covenant Health Centre (CHC) marks the first phase of the Covenant Wellness Community, an 11.2-acre development in southeast Edmonton. Designed as a one-stop health and wellness destination, the Community will bring together medical and surgical clinics, outpatient mental health services, house doctors’ offices, and diagnostic and laboratory services—all aimed at ensuring people receive the care they need, close to home.

More than just a building, the CHC embodies a vision for the future of sustainable, person-centred care. The 200,000 sq. ft., three-storey facility is anchored by a striking two-storey atrium, designed to seamlessly guide users through the central common area.

To complement the atrium’s openness, Maxxit delivered LINE:Form Traditional Baffles finished in Champagne Pine laminated film. The ceiling system features integrated linear lighting and a unique directional layout where the baffles shift orientation along the corridors. The lighting follows this shift, creating a dynamic interplay between form and illumination.

This signature ceiling feature adds depth, drama, and movement to the space. The warm finish harmonizes with the sleek minimalist interiors and wood accents, while the directional design transforms the ceiling into a focal point throughout the corridors.

The result is a space that feels both functional and inspiring and reflects the Centre’s commitment to community care.
