BDO Office Montreal

The new BDO office in Montreal is a thoughtfully designed environment that promotes productivity, collaboration, and well-being. Rooted in a sustainable, biophilic design approach, the interior reflects BDO’s brand identity through a workspace that is both functional and visually refined.

Working in collaboration with Lemay, Maxxit fabricated and supplied a fully custom ceiling system for the open lounge and meeting area. The ceiling features a series of curved metal blades suspended from precision-engineered perforated panels, forming an elegant wave-like pattern that draws the eye across the room.

The perforated PANEL:Form Traditional Ceiling Panels include a black acoustic scrim on the reverse to enhance sound absorption and help manage noise within the open workplace. Integrating acoustic performance directly into the ceiling system supports occupant comfort and well-being while reducing the need for additional acoustic treatments. This approach demonstrates how a single architectural element can address both acoustic performance and sustainable design goals.

The ceiling panels are finished in a matte white powdercoat while the blades are finished in a natural white powdercoat, creating subtle depth and dynamic contrast. The clean white ceiling finish complements the natural warmth of wood tones, indoor greenery, and soft, inviting furniture.
