York University, Markham Campus

In collaboration with Diamond Schmitt Architects and Oakdale Drywall & Acoustics Ltd., we proudly contributed to the York University Markham Campus, a dynamic hub for innovation, connection, and accessibility.

Covering an expansive 28,620 sq. ft. ceiling, this project highlights our Agilis perforated aluminum baffles with integrated acoustic filler and a sleek white powder coat finish. Designed to enhance both function and form, the linear baffle layout features linear lighting and doubles as a wayfinding tool, guiding users through the hallways with subtle visual cues.

The design thoughtfully accommodates the building’s architectural elements, including columns, skylights, and curves, seamlessly integrating the baffles into the structure.

In common areas throughout the campus, we incorporated Silentia Dimensional Contour felt baffles in a modern grey finish. These baffles not only add a layer of visual intrigue but also provide sound-absorbing capabilities to enhance occupant comfort. These communal spaces are designed to foster student collaboration, offering inviting areas for study and connection.
